The term overweight refers to excess weight, due to an excessive and abnormal accumulation of fat in the adipose tissues of the body, compared to the standards set by the World Health Organization.
This is a widespread condition, especially in societies where the food supply is abundant, unhealthy, and a sedentary lifestyle, such as the Western one. If underestimated, being overweight can degenerate into obesity , with harmful consequences for health such as reduced mobility , fatigue of the internal organs, arterial hypertension, circulatory and metabolic disorders.
Among the causes that generate overweight problems there are bad habits such as smoking, alcohol, sedentary lifestyle and above all a wrong diet . Attention to one's well-being must therefore start from the table and then continue in everyday life, avoiding wrong behaviors and carrying out sports activities suited to one's body and inclinations.
