These days the cold does not give respite to many: stuffy nose and tiredness are the order of the day, red nostrils and swollen eyes anticipate a noisy and immediate sneeze .
Many say "it's a normal and common cold" but in reality this state brings with it several discomforts . And if it is true that there is no medicine to knock out the cold virus, the grandmother's remedies always remain valid.
My grandmother Adriana has a little secret that she has decided to reveal to you too: ladies and gentlemen, suffimiges with Eucalyptus oil.
Along the boot it takes on different names: fumini , suffimigi or fumenti. We agree on one thing though: they are a real cure -all in the case of cough, sore throat and stuffy nose, in fact, water vapor and essential oils are able to free the upper respiratory tract.
How to do them?
The procedure is very simple: boil a little water in a saucepan and when it boils add the essential oils (a few drops of oil (5/6) will suffice. and a teaspoon of baking soda which will strengthen their action.
Remove the saucepan from the stove and breathe in the steam released, for an even stronger action put a cloth on the head that limits the dispersion of the steam.
But be careful, if the steam is too hot it is better to wait a few minutes unless you want to burn yourself.
