SAY GOODBYE TO WATER RETENTION

WHAT DO WE MEAN BY WATER RETENTION?

Water retention or cellulite is an accumulation of fluids that can be localized in a single area ( belly , legs , abdomen, fingers, feet, etc.) or spread throughout the body. The skin is not very elastic and characterized by a non-compact appearance, in fact it is called "orange peel skin".

There are five main causes:

  • Bad nutrition
  • Fluid deficiency
  • Incorrect posture
  • Wrong clothing
  • Stress and bad habits

THE SOLUTIONS

Eat a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables. Limit the consumption of sweets and refined foods and follow a low sodium diet. Draining and diuretic foods such as pineapple, watermelon, asparagus and blueberries are preferred.

Water must become your best companion. Drinking a lot throughout the day helps to eliminate excess fluids favoring diuresis .

Of course, another important ally against water retention is physical activity . There is no need for complicated exercises, but constant, low-intensity movement is sufficient.

To prevent retention, a lymphatic drainage massage is also useful, which acts by manipulating the lymphatic vessels. The goal is therefore to eliminate excess fluids and act on the imperfections of cellulite.

Sometimes associated with water retention there is swelling and heaviness in the legs. Hydration and massage can be useful to limit this discomfort but to act in depth there are some plants and specific remedies. A medicinal compound for healthy legs based on horse chestnut, butcher's broom, vine and blueberry is ideal for acting on the well-being of the circulation.

The posture both at work when you spend many hours in front of a computer and when you are standing and walking is essential. Having small precautions during the day allows you to improve circulation and have a better skin appearance.

Clothes also play an important role in how the skin looks on the body and whether or not it has retention. Tight clothing made of synthetic fabrics does not allow the skin to breathe and causes damage to circulation. Dressing in soft clothing composed mostly of natural fabrics helps the skin to breathe and prevents the formation of the dreaded cellulite.

Bromelain helps to lower the inflammation typical of cellulite and also improves circulation.

Thanks to these solutions it is possible to limit the appearance of water retention and improve its symptoms.
