Scarring is a complex process of repairing the epithelial tissue , during which the body stops the bleeding, heals and closes the wound . It is a three-step process.
In the exudative phase, thanks to bleeding , foreign substances and damaged tissue are expelled from the wound; subsequently the vessels narrow, the blood clots and the bleeding stops. In the second phase, of tissue regeneration, new collagen and capillaries are generated, which create a tissue with an intense red color and very blood supply. Finally, in the third phase, new skin cells are formed, which expand on the wound and gradually hide it: this process can last from a few days to several weeks, depending on the size of the lesion.
It is important to keep the wounds clean , possibly covered so that contaminants, microbes and dirt do not enter ; some natural products such as Colloidal Silver can contribute to this, since they have antimicrobial and antiseptic properties , as well as products containing Vitamin C and Zinc can speed up the process, as they contribute to the production of collagen .
