Himalayan salt commonly called pink salt is a halite (or rock salt), which is a sodium chloride mineral originating from Pakistan and marketed in North America, Australia and Europe towards the beginning of the 21st century. It has remarkable purifying, detoxifying and invigorating properties that help this product to bring numerous benefits to our body.
It can also be used to prepare a simple scrub.
WHY USE SALT?
On the skin, Himalayan pink salt has a pH regulating effect. It is therefore ideal both to rebalance the hydrolipidic film of dry skin and to purify oily skin. In particular, by massaging it on the skin, not only an effective natural peeling action is obtained, but also a more elastic and toned skin, as it stimulates the microcirculation .
HOW DO YOU PREPARE IT?
- 4 tablespoons of Himalayan pink salt (fine)
- 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil
- 2 drops of orange or lemon essential oil (optional)
Mix the salt and oil and optionally add 2 drops of essential oils. NB If you add oils, do not expose yourself to the sun after using the scrub as it is photosensitizing.
