A sacred plant in the Buddhist and Hindu religion, the fig has a series of characteristics that make it the perfect ingredient in various fields: from the culinary one, to the cosmetic and phytotherapeutic one.
Its fleshy infructescences, called sycones, are actually false fruit. Inside them is hidden a sweet and juicy pulp that surrounds the real seeds, of microscopic size.
Just these false fruits, in addition to the buds, contain all the beneficial power of this plant .
Below is the procedure to take full advantage of their qualities with a home scrub , to revitalize the skin and give it brightness and softness.
- The pulp (and seeds) of 3 or 4 ripe figs
- Almond oil
- 2 drops of sweet orange essential oil
- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl (squeezing the pulp of the figs well) and apply generously to the surface of the body just wet, with light circular movements .
It is a perfect exfoliant for delicate areas of the body , such as the neck, abdomen and back of the hands, thanks to the seeds present in the pulp and the sugar. The revitalizing power of the sweet orange essential oil is added to the antioxidant and vitaminizing power of the fig, which adds a pleasant aromatic note to your personal moment of well-being.
At the end of the operation, rinse thoroughly with water and pat dry gently with a towel. Finally, apply a good moisturizer by massaging vigorously.
