SPRING WITHOUT THOUGHTS

What a beautiful spring and its long, mild and temperate days. Too bad that with it also come the ailments that characterize spring sickness: allergies, joint pain, drowsiness and mood swings.

According to experts, this particular syndrome affects about 2 million Italians, mostly women. This year in particular, thanks to climate change, about 45% of Italians are affected by an allergy, certainly a very high percentage and beyond expectations.

The environment is one of the aspects that most influences seasonal allergies. Spending a lot of time indoors could trigger the development of particular allergies: mites, cat and dog hair.

WHAT TO DO?

  • Carry out the air exchange early in the morning and late in the evening when the quantity of pollen is lower.
  • Keep your work environment and home clean to avoid the accumulation of dust.
  • Check the weather in advance in order to limit the moments with a greater chance of coming into contact with allergens: after a storm and in the central hours of the day.

Ribes nigrum (black currant) is able to produce cortisol, a fundamental hormone that supports the body to react to inflammation; it brings energy and vigor and is useful in case of allergies, to support joint function and limit inflammatory processes in progress.

Perilla oil is a natural source of omega 3-6-9 and helps support the body's natural defenses. It is an excellent remedy for allergies including the manifestations of asthma, urticaria, eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis or atopic. Its specific action is to reduce the production of antibodies responsible for the allergic manifestation.

ARTICOLAR PAINS

In this period joint and muscle pains also become acute, all due to the alternation of temperatures, humidity and rain.

Turmeric has long been known for its positive influence on joint mobility, and it seems that recent studies reveal its contribution in combating inflammation and relieving pain.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) facilitates and supports the expulsion of toxins, this explains its ability to counteract chronic pain, often due to the accumulation of toxic substances in the joints and muscles.

The dry extract of Devil's Claw is precious for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving activity, in particular at the level of the osteoarticular system.

Finally, Boswellia , thanks to its anti-inflammatory action, is successfully used in the treatment of arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis: it reduces edema, pain and functional limitation.
