Porridge is a typical Anglo-Saxon dish, a perfect food to eat for breakfast to get to lunch without giving up, in fact it is very satiating, rich in water-soluble fibers, proteins and essential fatty acids, which provide long-term energy to our body.
1 cup of rolled oats
1 pinch of salt
1 tablespoon of raisins or goji berries
3 cups of water
8 dried plums
1 tablespoon of toasted almonds
Coconut flakes, cinnamon, honey or vanilla to taste.
Put all the ingredients, except the almonds that will be added at the last, in a saucepan. Cover and cook over high heat. When it boils, remove the lid and cook over very low heat for about 30 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent the porridge from sticking to the bottom.
Add the almonds, serve and serve still hot.
