Essential oils are aromatic substances extracted from plants , present in aromatic plants and are contained in different parts: in the bark, in the flowers, in the leaves, in the peel of the fruits.

Since ancient times , men have had a special relationship with aromatic plants, being in fact used to prepare remedies and perfumes . Oggiogiorno is scientifically proven that essential oils can contribute positively to the maintenance of our physical , emotional and spiritual well-being.

But how do they act?

Essential oils influence the energies of the Chakras in different ways: by calming , strengthening or balancing their activity. Essential oils can also be diffused into the environment through a diffuser or poured onto a handkerchief ( 2-3 pure drops ) to smell: this mode is particularly useful for promoting meditation .

Sweet orange: Citrus sinensis

Sweet Orange essential oil, also called " smile oil ", has a sweet and uplifting scent.

Useful in case of depression and anxiety , insomnia , digestive disorders , circulatory weakness , obesity and constipation . The aroma of orange relaxes and restores calm by warming the mind and heart . Facilitates the opening of conscience , love and happiness , giving comfort and inner peace .

To reduce anxiety , you can pour 5 drops of sweet orange and 5 drops of lavender in half a liter of water, then inhale.

For acneic, oily or combination skin, the oil can be used for the production of a face scrub : combine two teaspoons of baking soda with 2 drops of Sweet Orange , then proceed with exfoliation .

How to use it?

  • inhalations: 3-7 drops
  • baths: 15-30 drops
  • massage: 7-8 drops in 20 ml of carrier oil
  • essence diffuser: 10-20 drops
  • compresses: 2-3 drops

Cinnamon: cinnamomum zeylanicum

Cinnamon essential oil has a warm, spicy, dry and sweet scent. An aphrodisiac tonic and is useful in the treatment of gastric pain, colitis and flatulence.

It stimulates creativity by strengthening the nerves and heart and stimulating circulation. It purifies the energies and facilitates openness to communication.

Also useful for wasp stings : in 50 ml of cold water put 4 drops of cinnamon essential oil, dip a cotton ball and apply on the sting.

How to use it?

  • Essence diffuser: 10 drops
  • massage: 6-8 drops of 20 ml of almond oil
  • Bath: 4-10 drops in the water
  • Shower: 3-4 drops
  • Inhalations: 5-8 drops
  • Wraps: 2-3 drops
