Azalea is a flower that falls into the rhododendron genus along with rhododendrons. It is a medium-sized evergreen shrub that gives flowers formed by a corolla of 5 petals.
Recent studies have shown that azalea has the ability to remove ammonia from the air in closed environments, for this reason it is considered an environment purifying plant.

Coming from the Far East, they arrived in Europe in the 1600s.
A curiosity about Azalea is that it was the flower on which the first poem was written. Written in Korea by a breeder who noticed the Korean queen's enthusiasm to see an Azalea shrub on a cliff. He climbed up to pick it up and dedicated a poem to it.
