In the months preceding winter, the climate is characterized by humidity, frequent changes in temperature and cold drafts. These factors have a major influence on the immune system and blood pressure, but the strongest impact they have on bones, muscles and cartilage. For this reason, the part of the body that is most affected is made up of the joints: old pains resurface and new ones appear, arthritis and arthrosis intensify, neuralgia, back and cervical problems.

How can you help your body?

Pay particular attention to clothing, preferably "onion", to be able to add or remove some layers according to the temperature. Choose comfortable shoes that keep your feet warm. Dry your hair very well before going out and always wear a scarf or headscarf.

If the joint becomes inflamed ...

Cartilage performs two functions: it acts as a shock absorber to reduce friction between two or more bones, and it provides a sliding surface to make smooth, soft and painless movement of the joint possible. This fabric, by its nature and function, undergoes severe wear but in healthy people there is a balance between the destruction of the “old” fabric and the creation of the new one. If, on the other hand, the cartilage is destroyed faster than the time it takes for the body to replace it, then osteoarthritis develops.

It is very helpful to supply the body with three nutrients it needs to make new cartilage:

  • Glucosamine: it is a natural compound that our body obtains mainly from glucose. Researchers have shown that by eliminating glucosamine deficiency, it is possible to restore the body's ability to supply all the vital substances necessary to restore worn-out joints.
  • Chondroitin: chondroitin sulfate is the main component of cartilage. It has an anti-inflammatory action, regenerates cartilage and helps reduce the production of uric acid (the excess of which can lead to the onset of gout).
  • MSM: it is a natural form of organic sulfur. It has such a complete range of properties that its discovery (by Stanley Jacob and Robert Herschler) ranks among the most important advances in orthomolecular medicine in the second half of the twentieth century. MSM is a natural pain reliever that blocks the transfer of pain impulses through nerve fibers. It also improves the permeability of cell membranes, dilates blood vessels by improving circulation, makes the skin soft and is an excellent muscle relaxant.Sulfur deficiency leads to stiffening of muscles and ligaments, wrinkling of the skin, reduction of tissue elasticity lung and blood vessels.

Msm Pro-Active: taking a supplement based on MSM, glucosamine and chondroitin contributes to the constitution of cartilage, simultaneously improving joint flexibility and relieving pain. Turmeric helps to complete the action by supporting joint function.

Magnesium Dermico®: it is a liquid formula of magnesium, notoriously beneficial for the health of the muscles and the nervous system. Spray it on your joints, even several times a day. If your skin is very sensitive or dry, we advise you to apply it diluted: ½ Sweet Almond Oil + ½ Magnesium Dermico ® .

Purifying and soothing bath with Epsom salts: fill the bathtub with plenty of hot water and add 2 cups of Epsom salts powder, soak as usual and rinse before going out. It can also be useful in cases of bruises, sprains and bruises. Choose a quiet evening to take this bath, relax completely and, immediately after, tucked under the covers in the warmth.
