LA RICETTA DELLA SETTIMANA: RISO BASMATI ALLE VERDURE ED ALLA CURCUMA Ecosalute

RECIPE OF THE WEEK: BASMATI RICE WITH VEGETABLES AND TURMERIC

Tasty and light, basmati rice flavored with turmeric is a real panacea for our health. Let's see the preparation together:

Ingredients for 4 people:

150 gr. Basmati rice

  • 3 courgettes
  • 1 carrot
  • Half onion
  • 4 glasses of water
  • Parsley
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 3 teaspoons of turmeric powder.

Cut half an onion into thin slices. Clean the courgettes and carrots and julienne them.

Pour everything into a pan with a drizzle of olive oil and let it brown for 15 minutes over medium heat. Separately, cook the basmati rice in water.

As soon as it is cooked, add the turmeric powder to taste (maximum three teaspoons for an intense color) and the vegetable dressing.

Optionally add chopped parsley. Stir by quickly jumping over the heat, turn off and add a sprinkling of pepper and a last drizzle of oil.

Advice:

If you like, you can also add the peas after boiling them, if you use them already cooked, let them blanch in hot water.

For those with a sweet tooth, you can add diced speck or cooked ham.
