The heat has now arrived and it is a pleasure to savor seasonal fruits cooked and prepared in an original and unusual way. Not everyone likes sliced pineapple as an after meal. It can therefore be combined with other ingredients to make the dish more delicious and different.
Choosing a good pineapple is the first step. Smell it to smell its scent, feel the base which must be firm and check that the peel has no yellow spots. Finally check the leaves . Being able to detach some from the center means that the pineapple is ripe, otherwise not.
Rice and pineapple salad:
Instead of the usual rice salad with pickles, let's try this exotic version with pineapple, green beans and shrimp. Blanch the shrimp and green beans (after washing them thoroughly) and then cut them into small pieces. Season the previously boiled and salted rice, also adding a few cubes of pineapple. You can also use Venere rice, couscous or bulgur instead of classic rice.
It should be served cold.
